The talented and promising young goalkeeper of Persija Jakarta, Cahya Supriadi, is slated to join the U-20 Indonesian national team at their ongoing Training Camp (TC) in Antalya, Turkey. This announcement was made by Persija Jakarta on October 24th, via their official social media account.
Initially selected as part of the 34-player roster for the U-20 national team’s TC in Turkey, Cahya encountered a setback due to an injury sustained during the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers. However, after a period of rehabilitation, he has been declared fit to rejoin the training camp.
Cahya, at 19 years of age, suffered a chest injury during a match against Hong Kong on September 16th, which prevented his participation in the training camp. Despite this setback, his recent recovery has allowed him to return to training with Persija Jakarta as of October 21st.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to rejoin the U-20 national team in Turkey, Cahya acknowledged the need to catch up with his teammates who are already in training. His return comes as a positive development for the Indonesian national team as they prepare for a series of trials in Antalya, Turkey.
During an interview, Cahya stated, “Alhamdulillah, I will follow other friends to Turkey. There must be a little behind because the others have started to get faster. But I should be grateful because I still have the trust to rejoin the national team.”
Cahya Supriadi’s presence among the U-20 national team in Turkey marks a significant milestone in his career as a talented goalkeeper. His determination to overcome injury and rejoin his teammates demonstrates his unwavering commitment to representing Indonesia at the international level.
We extend our best wishes to Cahya Supriadi as he resumes training with the U-20 Indonesian national team and hope to witness his significant contributions to the team’s progress in Antalya, Turkey.
