A devastating fire broke out in a two-story house situated on Ampera Raya Street in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. According to Officer Paryo of the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., the fire was reported at 6:50 PM on Tuesday, June 25th.
The fire, attributed to an electrical short, originated on the second floor of the house, resulting in significant damage. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but the monetary losses are estimated to be around hundreds of millions of Rupiah.
The incident was reported to the South Jakarta Damkar, leading to the dispatch of 6 units and 20 firefighters from the area. Despite the challenging circumstances, the dedicated efforts of the firefighters led to the successful containment and extinguishing of the fire by 7:30 PM.
While it is fortunate that no lives were lost, the material losses are still substantial. The community is urged to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
